In the third installment of my Beauty of Destruction photographic series (my first two were in Detroit), I ventured into the once-thriving automotive city of Flint, Michigan. What I found was hauntingly beautiful skeletons of a city that was once one of the most wealthy industrial locations in our nation. It is incredibly tragic to see the decay, but the recent revitalization of the area (which is unfortunately less publicized) is inspiring to say the least. Something about urban renewal and improvement just fascinates me... perhaps it's the beauty that lies in the potential? While others see Flint and Detroit as worthlessly decrepit, I see something more... something that can be changed and improved into something even better than what once was. Isn't that the beauty in this life? We can make transform and create something truly incredible out of nothing, as long as a little love and hard work are invested.

On that note, I'm currently working on a very, very exciting professional project that I can't wait to share with you. This week has started the initial process, which is both exciting and terrifying... but I'm taking a step towards a lifelong goal! The possibilities are endless right now, and I couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead.
